The Reverend Hugh Kerry Wesley, DMin., was elected and ordained an Itinerant Elder of the African Methodist Episcopal Church at the 138th Session of the California Annual Conference in 2002. He currently serves as the Senior Pastor/Teacher of Saint James African Methodist Episcopal Church, San Jose, California, and has served in that capacity since Fall 2016. He is married to his partner in life and ministry, Vivian Elizabeth, and they are the pleased parents of twin daughters Vanessa and Victoria.
He has received a Certificate in Theology from the Interdenominational Theological Center of Atlanta, Georgia, a Bachelor of Science in Adult Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, Illinois, a Master of Divinity from American Baptist Seminary (West) of Berkeley, California, and the Doctor of Ministry degree from United Theological Seminary of Dayton, Ohio.
